Cookie Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by our website, rethinkbundles.com, and by Rethink Bundles, our app, in the Shopify stores that use it. It's part of our Privacy Policy.

1. The short version

  • Our website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising or social media trackers. That's why it doesn't show a cookie banner.
  • The app uses no cookies. In stores that use it, it saves small items in the shopper's browser storage.
  • Items used for measurement are only sent to us when the store's privacy settings show that the shopper allows analytics. Items a bundle builder needs to work are saved when the shopper uses it.

2. What these technologies are

  • Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser and reads back later.
  • Local storage and session storage let a website keep small pieces of data in your browser. Local storage stays until you clear it; session storage is cleared when you close the tab.
  • Pixels are small pieces of code that report events, such as a page view, to a service.

Privacy rules such as the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK's PECR treat all of these the same way: storing or reading information on your device needs your consent, unless it's strictly necessary for a service you've asked for.

3. On our website

Our demo page embeds HubSpot's scheduler, which loads from HubSpot's domains. When you use it to book a meeting, HubSpot may set other cookies on its own domains as part of the booking, as described in HubSpot's cookie policy.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, doesn't set cookies on this website. If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we'll ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and update this policy.

4. In stores that use Rethink Bundles

The store's owner, the merchant, controls the store's cookie banner and privacy settings. The app reads them through Shopify's Customer Privacy API: it sends measurement data to us only when that API reports that analytics is allowed for the shopper, and nothing when a shopper declines. On stores that don't load these settings, it sends nothing. The app sets no cookies.

Measurement (needs analytics consent)

With analytics consent, the app also adds the visitor ID to the cart so the order can be matched to the bundle, and the Rethink Bundles web pixel reports page views and, at checkout, the order ID. The pixel runs in Shopify's sandbox and is declared to Shopify as analytics only, not marketing or sale of data.

Needed for the features a shopper uses (no consent needed)

5. How to control them

  • On our website, there's nothing to opt in to or out of. You can clear your browser storage at any time.
  • In a store, use the store's cookie banner or privacy settings to allow or decline analytics. Declining stops the app's measurement.
  • In your browser, you can clear cookies and site data, block them, or use a private window, which clears storage when it closes.

6. Changes and contact

We'll update this policy when the technologies we use change, and change the effective date above. Questions: nikil@rethinkbundles.com.
